Alderman Cox was elected in a special election in February 2012 as the Alderman at Large. He is a native of Ocean Spring, MS.

Alderman Cox has owned and operated Cox’s Barber Shop for over 30 years. This business was established by his father, Robert Cox, Sr., 50 years ago. He has served on the Ocean Springs Education Foundation Board of Directors and Ocean Springs Little league Board of Directors.
