Executive Order 1509 – Mandatory Masks Requirement Extended


FAQs Regarding Governor Tate Reeves’ Executive Order 1509 Extending Mask Mandate in Jackson & Harrison County Until Effective Monday August 3, 2020 at 8am

 

ALL BUSINESSES INCLUDING RESTAURANTS AND BARS IN JACKSON COUNTY shall follow CDC guidelines minimizing the spread of COVID-19. These measures include:
-Maintaining at least 6 feet of social distancing
-Sending sick employees home, actively encouraging sick employees to stay at home
-Screening all employees at the beginning of their shift
-Employees are required to report any COVID-19 symptoms to their supervisor
-Employees must follow appropriate measures for PPE including a face covering over the mouth and nose while on duty and on breaks
-Hand sanitizer available for all employees

ALL RETAIL BUSINESSES IN JACKSON COUNTY shall follow CDC guidelines minimizing the spread of COVID-19. These measures include:
-CUSTOMERS SHALL WEAR A FACE COVERING AT ALL TIMES WHILE IN A RETAIL STORE
-Employees shall be provided a face covering that covers the mouth and nose. While on duty employees are required to wear the face covering.
-Face coverings need to be cleaned at least once a day
-Hand sanitizer shall be available for employees and the public at the entrance/exit of the business
-Maintaining at least 6 feet of social distancing including cashier lines
-Carts/Baskets shall be sanitized after each use. All high touch areas shall be sanitizer once every 2 hours.

ALL GATHERINGS IN JACKSON COUNTY must adhere to the following guidelines:
-Individuals shall maintain a social distance of 6 feet
-Social gatherings/activities shall be limited to 10 people indoors and 20 people outside
-Face coverings must be worn at all times inside and outside (when unable to maintain 6 feet social distancing)
