The Mary C. O'Keefe Cultural Center is the keystone of the public arts community in Ocean Springs. Affectionately known around town as The Mary C, it is located in the historic 1927 Ocean Springs Public School Building located in downtown Ocean Springs. The Center provides a diverse set of programs and facilities for the arts. The beautiful lobby area houses the spectacular 1937 WPA tile murals painted by James McConnell Anderson, fired by Peter Anderson and now lovingly restored and protected. Inside the Cultural Center, you’ll find two art galleries featuring beautiful local artwork and the Ocean Springs History Museum. The Trent Lott Performing Arts Theatre is available for performances and meetings. With 393 seats, the Theatre accommodates concerts, plays, musicals, recitals and town meetings. The Mary C. O’Keefe Cultural Center also offers seven other rooms throughout the center for workshops or gatherings!
Open Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. Call 228-381-1919 for more information. Bookings currently on hold due to COVID-19.
