Applications for a Bonfire Permit may be submitted at the Ocean Springs Building Department Office Monday to Friday, from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm (closed holidays). Rental fees may be paid with cash, check, or credit card. Bonfire permits may be canceled at any time by a representative of the City.

The exact location of the bonfire pit corresponds to the light pole number nearest the pit
Any request for a refund or rescheduling due to bad weather must be made no later than 7 days from the original bonfire reservation date.
Wooden pallets, lumber with nails, and bottles are not permitted on the beach. The material pile should be no larger than four feet in diameter and four feet in height. Participants must have a bucket of water on site for fire extinguishment.
All fires must be extinguished with water (not covered with sand) by 10 pm. The permit holder and a maximum of two vehicles will be allowed to remain at the location for clean-up purposes until 11 pm. All other persons must leave by 10 pm.
The $26 non-refundable permit fee covers only the clean-up of the actual fire pit. Clean-up of the surrounding area is the permit holder's responsibility as the renter.
The permit holder is responsible to see that all persons attending the bonfire adhere to all City Ordinances and Beach Rules. Practice fire safety at all times.
Beach Rules are as follows: Littering is not permitted. No loud and/or offensive music or noise. No glass containers on the sand, road, or seawall; additionally, no metal containers on the sand. No parking from 10 pm until 5 am without a permit, and no animals running at large on Front Beach (Animal Leash Law Section 5-1). No animal waste is left behind (Animal Waste Removal-Section 5-14).
If a burn ban is in effect, permit holder understands they may gather at the pit, but no open flame will be permitted
