2. In accordance with the City of Ocean Springs Ordinance #2020-19, each qualified person desiring to operate a golf cart or low-speed vehicle on the designated streets of Ocean Springs shall submit a RENEWAL application in person or online to the Building Department's office to obtain yearly decal to be placed on the cart; the decal shall be affixed to the left rear fender of the cart so as to be fully visible when the cart is in operation. A registration fee of $20.00 for each permit shall be payable at the time of registration and shall be effective for each calendar year, subject to annual January renewal. Golf carts and low-speed vehicles shall have all equipment listed in the City Ordinance. All drivers must have a valid driver's license or temporary learner's permit and liability insurance coverage.
   
   A copy of the current Driver's License and Golf Cart insurance is required to be submitted.

28. Upon approval of this application and issuance of a renewal decal, it is understood that the renewal decal must be affixed to the left rear fender (near the permit decal) of the cart or low-speed vehicle and that said renewal decal shall be effective until January the following year.
    
    I have received, read, and understand the "Golf Cart Ordinance," and I have paid the registration fee for the above-listed cart and/or low-speed vehicle. I acknowledge that I will assume all liability and am fully responsible for the operation of the above cart on the streets and roads of the City of Ocean Springs. I also acknowledge that the City in providing this privilege is in no way endorsing the operation of this cart or low-speed vehicle on the public streets and roads and does not and will not assume any liability in the operation of the cart. I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the City of Ocean Springs, its officials, agents, and employees, for any and all claims of action arising from the use or operation of this cart. I furthermore ensure that I will obey all the laws and regulations pertaining to the operation of the golf cart.
