It’s Homecoming Week in Ocean Springs and the Ocean Springs School District will host the annual homecoming parade on Wednesday, September 25 in downtown Ocean Springs.
The parade will roll at 6:00 p.m. beginning on Jackson Avenue, turning east on Porter Avenue, north on Washington Avenue, then east on Government Street. The parade will end on Government Street at Ocean Springs Upper Elementary.
Barricades will be placed at intersections starting at 5:30 p.m.
The following streets will be closed:
-Porter Avenue (from Jackson Avenue to Washington Avenue)
-Washington Avenue (from Porter Avenue to Government Street)
-Government Street (from Washington Avenue to Holcomb Boulevard)
Southbound traffic on Washington Avenue from US-90 will be re-routed via Desoto Street. Roads will reopen at the discretion of the Ocean Springs Police Department. As always, it is at the discretion of local law enforcement as to whether it is in the interest of the public’s safety to add or remove a barricade.
