The City of Ocean Springs Declares a Local State of Emergency in advance of Tropical Storm Francine
Ocean Springs, MS – The City of Ocean Springs declares a local state of emergency in advance of tropical storm Francine. Sand and sandbags will be available Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Ocean Springs Public Works located at 712 Pine Dr. Ocean Springs, MS 39564, and at the Fire Station located 3901 Highway 57 South Ocean Springs, MS 39564.
All sand and sandbags are self-service 24/7 until the supply is exhausted. It is recommended to bring your own shovel. For questions, please call Public Works at 228-875-3955.
The City and the Ocean Springs Emergency Operations Center will continue to watch tropical storm Francine as she continues to develop.
