IMPENDING SEVERE WEATHER ALERT - MONDAY, JAN. 8 - TUESDAY, JAN. 9
*City offices will close today at 3:30 pm due to inclement weather. *
Impending severe weather expected late this afternoon and through the night into early Tuesday morning that will happen in multiple rounds. 
There are potential risks to expect and be prepared for:
- FLASH FLOODING: Moderate risk (threat level 3/4) with flash floods likely with significant flash flooding possible expected around 5 PM to 10 PM tonight 
- RAINFALL: Rainfall totals around 3-4" expected 
- COASTAL FLOODING: Significant coastal flooding possible, especially during high tide around 1-3 ft.
- WINDS: Powerful winds are expected to increase through the morning hours, becoming strong at times later this afternoon and overnight. Overnight travel can be dangerous- use extreme caution.
